I have a hot shower. Text a friend or family member. Take my dog for a walk. Sit outside in the sun.

Some breathing & a mindfulness meditation usually helps me when feeling overwhelmed.
It's not always possible to do that at the time (when I most need it).
Ideally, talking to someone (eg a support phone line) often helps the most.

When I am feeling overwhelmed I take some sort of self-care time out. I am loving the suggestions coming in ....,

Recently I have been doing more walking now that we have moved to a more walking friendly area. Also good with our new living arrangement with mum.and dad inlaw so close I can just walk out lock the door behind me and knowing the little people are safe and supervised.
